Delhi’s Aarav Vats secured 96.6% in CBSE Class 10th Result 2026.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 10 results, with this year’s pass percentage standing at 93.70 per cent. Among the many remarkable stories, the journey of Delhi’s Aarav Vats stands out as particularly inspiring. Despite fighting a serious illness like cancer, he secured 96.6 per cent, proving that a strong will can overcome any challenge.
A resident of Mehrauli in Delhi, Aarav Vats has been diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the spine. Even under these circumstances, he continued his studies and achieved 96.6 per cent in the CBSE Class 10 board exams, reported News18 Hindi. A student of Amity International School, Saket, Aarav’s success has made his entire family proud.
According to his father, Dr Ajay Vats, Aarav was diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma in 2022, when he was in Class 7. His condition deteriorated to the extent that he was unable to walk. He underwent spinal surgery, during which plates were inserted, followed by intensive radiotherapy and chemotherapy. He remained bedridden for nearly a year and later began walking again with the help of a walker.

Throughout this difficult time, Aarav received steadfast support from his school and teachers. The principal and teachers organised online classes and helped him with every subject. The doctors treating him kept encouraging him as well. With the support of his family, school, and doctors, Aarav was able to achieve this milestone.
Aarav believes that no matter how many difficulties life brings, we must stay positive. He shared that he has read about many people who achieved success despite battling serious illnesses, and their stories continue to inspire him to keep moving forward. Aarav is certain that if students continue to work hard, success will surely follow.
Among all regions, Trivandrum and Vijayawada stood out as the top performers in CBSE 10th results 2026, each achieving an impressive pass rate of 99.79 per cent, the highest in the country this year. Chennai followed closely with a pass percentage of 99.58 per cent while Bengaluru secured the fourth position with 98.91 per cent. Delhi West and Delhi East also performed notably with pass percentages of 97.45 per cent and 97.33 per cent, respectively.
