Sales of the Maruti Suzuki Mini segment, comprising the Alto and S-Presso, increased to 8,799 units in August from 6,853 units a year earlier. For the April-August period of FY27, cumulative sales in the category nearly doubled to 65,190 units, compared with 33,197 units in the corresponding period of FY26.
The company’s Compact and Mid-Size portfolio, which includes models such as the Baleno, Celerio, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, recorded sales of 77,166 units in August, up from 59,597 units in the year-ago month.
For the first five months of FY27, sales in the segment rose to 394,017 units, compared with 304,514 units in the same period last fiscal, highlighting sustained demand across Maruti Suzuki’s core product lineup.
