Here, the south-west monsoon, which provides relief to the country, may advance after two weeks. A weather system has formed in the Bay of Bengal, which will bring monsoon to Chhattisgarh.

If the speed is good then there may be heavy rain in the areas of Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand. However, there is still less scope for it to grow rapidly.

There is a possibility of thunderstorm, storm and light rain in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab till June 24. There has been a warning of dust storm in Rajasthan.

It may rain in Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh today. There is also a possibility of hailstorm at some places.

The month of June is going dry for the second time in the history of 126 years.

The rainfall figures so far in the season show that till June 21, there should have been 99.2 mm rainfall across the country. But the rainfall has been only 57.4 mm i.e. there is a deficiency of 42.2%.

Due to this deficiency, India is experiencing the second driest June in the 126-year history of monsoon rain records. Earlier in 2009, 49% less rainfall than the quota was recorded in the entire June. This had a negative impact on agriculture in central and north-west India.

At present the June quota in the country is 165.4 mm. Monsoon reaches Mumbai by June 11, but it has not arrived there yet. In 2023 it was reached on June 25. This time also the chances are the same.
