Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles has released the results for the first quarter of financial year 2027 (Q1 FY27). In the last three months, the net profit of this Tata Group company has increased by 83.3% to Rs 2,560 crore, which was Rs 1397 crore in the same quarter last year.

According to the company, this increase in net profit is due to ‘market to market gain’ on the investment made in Tata Capital Limited.

Consolidated profit means performance of the entire group

The results of companies come in two parts – standalone and consolidated. Standalone shows the financial performance of only one unit. Whereas, in the consolidated financial report, the entire company is reported.

Here, Tata Motors has more than 100 subsidiaries and associate companies like Jaguar Land Rover. The financial reports of all these will be called consolidated. At the same time, if the separate result of Jaguar Land Rover will be called standalone.
