Indian players who returned from the Under-20 World Athletics Championship made the country proud by performing brilliantly. India won a total of three medals in this competition, which was a big achievement for the team. Javelin thrower Ashish Yadav, resident of Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, won the silver medal with a best effort of 74.09 metres. Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra also congratulated him on his achievement. Whereas Basant Meghwal of Rajasthan won the silver medal in high jump by jumping 2.21 meters. Apart from this, Shahnawaz Khan of Uttar Pradesh won bronze medal in long jump with 7.84 meters. This brilliant performance of Indian athletes once again proved the country’s growing strength in athletics at the world level.
