Customs officials have detected a major drug smuggling case at Delhi’s IGI Airport. On June 16, an Indian passenger arriving in Delhi from Kuala Lumpur was stopped on the basis of suspicion.
On checking the two trolley bags of the passenger, four packets filled with white powder were found in them. During investigation this substance turned out to be heroin. The weight of the recovered heroin is about 6.9 kg.
According to officials, the value of the seized heroin is approximately ₹34.67 crore. The Customs Department has arrested the passenger under the NDPS Act. Heroin has also been seized.

34 people fall ill after eating pizza in Maharashtra, admitted to hospital

34 people fell ill after eating shawarma pizza from a food outlet in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra’s Thane district. A large number of children are also among those who fall ill.
According to police, people had eaten pizza on Wednesday night. After this, from Thursday afternoon he started having complaints like stomach ache, vomiting, dizziness and diarrhea. Patients started reaching the government hospital from Thursday evening and this process continued till Friday morning.
A total of 34 people were admitted to hospital. It is a matter of relief that all the patients are out of danger. After the incident, the police have registered a case against the owner of the food outlet and started investigation. At the same time, samples of pizza have been sent for testing so that the exact cause of the disease can be found out.
Odisha government engineer’s premises raided, 49 plots and property worth crores exposed

Odisha Vigilance Department raided the premises of Assistant Executive Engineer Satyanarayan Sethi in Kotpad block of Koraput district. In simultaneous raids conducted at 7 locations, 49 valuable plots, two farmhouses, 940 grams of gold jewellery, 2.5 kg of silver and ₹5.48 lakh in cash were found.
Apart from this, two flats and bank and post office deposits worth ₹60.92 lakh have also been detected, which are being investigated. Investigation revealed that a farmhouse is spread over an area of 10.03 acres, where mango and eucalyptus trees are planted. The second farmhouse is spread over 4.35 acres and has a eucalyptus plantation.
The Vigilance Department says that the search operation is still going on and more properties may be unearthed. Satyanarayan Sethi started government service in the year 1998 as a junior engineer at a monthly salary of ₹7100. Later he kept getting promotion and in the year 2025 he became Assistant Executive Engineer.
