The movement of Jane-G generation (18 to 30 years old) against corruption and social media ban in Nepal became furious on Monday. In the capital Kathmandu, protesters broke the police barricades and entered the Parliament House complex.
According to the report of Kathmandu Post, the police fired water canon and tear gas shells to stop the crowd. This was followed by a clash between the protesters and the police. Police has implemented curfew in the entire area.
The youth threw tree branches and water bottles at the police. During this time he continued to shout slogans against the government.
The youth say that the government has taken steps like banning social media to suppress the voices of the people.
Youth protesters came to protest with the banner of Gen-G movement.
The youth have also appealed to other people to join the movement. Banners with QR code have also been made for this.
The protesters broke the barricades and entered the restricted areas.
A large number of school students and students have also participated in the movement.

Mayor of Kathmandu landed in support of the movement
Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah has supported the movement. He said that even though he cannot join due to the age limit, the voice of the youth should be heard.
Nepali youth living abroad have also supported this movement. He says that if corruption and inequality are not over, more educated youth will be forced to leave the country.
Kathmandu District Administration Office said that the protest has been organized by a group named Hami Nepal and permission was taken for it. The organizers say that similar programs are being done in other cities across the country.
Ban on 26 social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube
The Nepal government had decided to ban 26 social media sites including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube on 3 September.
These platforms did not register in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of Nepal. The ministry gave a seven -day time limit from August 28, which ended on 2 September.
During this period, platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, X (Twitter), Reddit and LinkedIn did not apply for registration. Tickeks, Viber, Watches, Nimbz and Popo Live have registered, while the approval process of Telegram and Global Diary is underway.
Ministry spokesman Gajendra Kumar Thakur said that if a platform completes registration, it will be restored on the same day. This ban will affect millions of Nepali living abroad.
