World number-3 player Alcaraz defeated world number-5 Daniil Medvedev 6-7, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in the semi-finals. At the same time, world number-2 Djokovic made it to the finals by defeating Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets 6-4, 7-6, 6-4.

Serbia’s Djokovic has reached the Wimbledon final for the 10th time. Djokovic is the first player to win 24 Grand Slams in the Open Era. Djokovic was earlier tied with Serena Williams (23 Grand Slams) in terms of winning the most Grand Slams (men’s and women’s singles). Margaret Court has also won a total of 24 Grand Slams, but 13 of those titles were won before the Open Era.

Carlos was born on 5 May 2003 in Spain. Carlos started playing tennis at the age of 4. He got inspiration for this from his father Carlos Alcaraz Gonzalez, who was counted among the top-40 tennis players of Spain. Alcaraz’s coach is top ranked former player Juan Carlos Ferrero. Under his guidance, Carlos started playing professional tennis at the age of 15. Alcaraz is one of the few players in tennis history who did not lose in the first round of his debut Grand Slam.
