TV actress Deepika Kakkar recently talked about her liver cancer treatment in her YouTube vlog. Her husband Shoaib Ibrahim was also seen with her in this vlog. Deepika said that her new reports are normal, but the fear in her mind is still not completely gone.

Deepika told in the vlog that she had come to Dr. Imran Sheikh for checkup. Tears welled up in his eyes while talking to him. She said that she cried a lot after being diagnosed with the disease, but kept herself strong throughout the journey. Kept trying even during surgery and recovery.

Deepika further told that but today while meeting the doctor, she could not stop herself and started crying. While telling this in the vlog, Deepika became emotional and during this her husband Shoaib Ibrahim took care of her.

It is not easy to stay positive in difficult times: Deepika

Deepika said that many times one has to remind herself that things are not so big and it is important to move forward. According to him, it is not easy to remain positive in difficult times, but one has to try.

Talking about her emotional breakdown, Deepika said that sometimes the effects of the disease are felt suddenly. She said that she is not worried all the time. There are many days when she is happy and feels hopeful. They feel that everything is fine and despite great problems, everything is going well.

According to Deepika, every day brings something new and the only way to move forward is to face it. She said, “I am going through an emotional breakdown right now. Alhamdulillah, my reports are normal and the treatment is going in the right direction, but there is still a little nervousness in the heart. I spoke to Somnath sir. He told me how anxiety works. Dr. Imran Shaikh also says the same.”

Deepika Kakkar and Shoaib Ibrahim got married on 22 February 2018.

Deepika’s skin has become very dry

Deepika also told about her physical changes. He said that his thyroid reports change every day. Targeted therapy causes hormonal changes, which affect the body. He told that his skin has become very dry. The weather has been dry for two days, due to which the skin of the hands has started cracking. They feel pressure on their ears and neck and their nose also remains very dry.

In the same vlog, Deepika said that it is normal to feel tired at such times. He also spoke for those who are going through a similar disease. According to him, there are only two ways: either sit in fear or face it and move forward. He said that the right way is to keep going in difficult times.

Deepika Kakkar and Shoaib Ibrahim’s son is named Ruhaan, who was born on 21 June 2023.

Let us tell you that Deepika was examined in May after complaining of pain in the upper abdomen. In the scan, a tumor the size of a tennis ball was found in his liver, which turned out to be cancerous. Doctors diagnosed it as stage 2 liver cancer.

After this, in June 2025, he underwent a major 14-hour surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. In this, about 22 percent of the liver and some part of the gallbladder had to be removed. The surgery was successful and he was discharged from the hospital after a few days.

According to doctors, the tumor has been completely removed, but Deepika is currently being given targeted oral treatment to ensure that the disease does not return.
