The life of Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of Kurukshetra, Haryana, who dreamed of building a new life abroad with his wife after intercaste marriage, changed completely in 4 years. Just one month after the marriage, his newly married wife went to Australia. While leaving, he had promised to send a sponsor soon and call him. But even after four years had passed, he kept waiting. In this wait even his bakery was sold. He incurred a debt of about Rs 34 lakh and the family was in financial crisis. Due to this tension his father also passed away. He is forced to pay an installment of Rs 1.5 lakh every month. On the other hand, now his wife refused to live with him and call him to Australia. Even his marriage registration was cancelled. Heartbroken, Sanjeev has filed a complaint against him to the Australian Embassy. Also, a petition has been filed to file a case in the court in Australia. The debt kept increasing, the father died and the loan taken to send the wife abroad kept increasing. Today he is paying only interest of about Rs 1.5 lakh every month. Amidst this financial stress, his father Jaswant Singh died on 6 May 2025, while his mother also started falling ill. Alleged that the wife and her family left him after making him spend around Rs 34 lakh. Now hoping for justice from Australia and the police, Sanjeev said that he has sent a complaint to the Australian Embassy. Also, a petition has been filed to file a case in the court in Australia. Now he will soon meet the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kurukshetra and lodge a complaint. His demand is that the entire matter should be investigated impartially, action should be taken against the culprits and the money spent by him should be returned.
