In the month of April, wrestler Sangram Singh had created history in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). On April 5, he became the first Indian to win an MMA fight in Argentina. This match took place at the Tigre Sports Club Stadium in Buenos Aires. Sangram had to face a big challenge at the last moment. His original opponent, French fighter Mouteau Moteiro, had to withdraw from the bout due to a knee injury and was replaced by Florian Coudier. Due to this, Sangram had to change his strategy at the last moment.
During this time, his wife Payal Rohatgi supported him and said, ‘You should do this fight.’ Now Sangram Singh has talked about Payal in an interview with Hindustan Times. Sangram says, ‘When I did not want to go in between, Payal told me – you should do this.’ He explained that I had come this far. I told him that my opponent had changed and I was preparing accordingly. Payal was telling me only one message again and again – ‘Keep yourself safe. Trust yourself, don’t trust others too much.
Talking further about his wife, Sangram said, ‘We both are complete opposites and perhaps that is the reason why we are together. Any small thing becomes a big deal for them. Even big things seem normal to me. But everything else is fine. If she doesn’t like something, she will say it to your face, but will not speak behind your back. Such people are not harmful, they are good people.
He further says, ‘I have learned from Payal to live life without worrying about what others think. There are very few people in this world who are exactly what they appear to be. Payal is one of them. Yes, sometimes they go a little beyond their limits and boundaries. But genuine couples are like this. I have done many shows and seen many couples which were fake. Who says- ‘I can do anything for you, break the moon or break the stars.’ They all separated. Real couples are like railway tracks. They will definitely get along, but their thoughts will never meet. Those who used to be enemies in olden times, have become husband and wife in these times (laughing). From the beginning till the end their argument continues on some issue or the other.
Giving advice to other couples, Sangram said, ‘I would advise every couple to be patient in whatever relationship they have.’ Sangram and Payal’s love story started in 2012 with the reality show ‘Survivors India’. They got married in Agra in the year 2022. Last year, both of them were surrounded by rumors of divorce, but later Sangram clarified that these reports are baseless.
