Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised the bravery of Indian pilot Captain Smit Machar who prevented the plane crash. Netanyahu wrote in the post on X that the mosquito confronted the attacker despite being seriously injured. He is a true hero. Israeli PM said- Captain Smit helped open the cockpit door, due to which the passengers and crew overpowered the attacker. Because of the Captain, the lives of 174 people were saved. These included Israeli citizens as well as people from other countries. In fact, on Wednesday, during the flight in flydubai flight FZ1073 going from Dubai to Tel Aviv, Indian pilot Smit was attacked with a knife by his co-pilot. During this, the plane suddenly came down to 17 thousand feet from a height of about 34 thousand feet. Later the plane made an emergency landing at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia. Before the knife attack, there was a scuffle between the two pilots. This incident happened on Wednesday morning at around 9 am in the Flydubai flight. There were 174 passengers on board, including 27 children. Most were Israeli passengers. According to reports, there was a scuffle between the two pilots before the attack. After this the co-pilot attacked Indian Captain Smit with a knife and tried to crash the plane. A passenger and crew member somehow managed to reach the cockpit. After this, other crew members also reached the cockpit and helped in landing the plane safely. However, it is not yet clear how the passengers and crew entered the cockpit of flydubai, as the cockpit doors are reinforced to prevent attempts to force them open. Usually the cockpit door remains locked during flight for safety reasons. This became a rule of aircraft security after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Both pilots injured, Captain Smit’s condition stable According to airport officials, both pilots were injured and were taken to the hospital. Captain Smit’s condition is said to be stable. Many videos of the incident have also surfaced. In a video the plane was seen shaking rapidly.
