Benami property worth crores of rupees has been found with a police officer in Telangana. He was arrested on Monday evening in a disproportionate assets case. The accused has been identified as Sankireddy Bheem Reddy. Bhim Reddy is posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police in Police Computer Services in Hyderabad. Property worth crores in the name of friends and associates: Investigation has revealed that Reddy had purchased properties worth crores in Telangana and Karnataka in the name of his relatives, friends, alleged benamidars and associates. Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau searched Reddy’s house and found Rs 3.60 lakh in cash, 2 kg of gold jewelery and around 20 kg of silver articles. Apart from this, bank balance of about Rs 20 lakh has also been found. As revealed by a diary of the DSP, raids were conducted on 2 July at 16 places related to Raj Reddy. The investigating officers have found a personal diary written in the DSP’s hand. The names of properties, investments, liabilities and alleged benamidars were written in it. It is being told that before going on Char Dham Yatra with his wife in May, Bhim Reddy had written this diary and sent the scanned copy to his two sons through WhatsApp. ACB says that on the basis of this diary, it helped the investigating agency to trace many properties and financial transactions. At present, the investigation in the case is going on and the agency is conducting a detailed examination of the properties and financial documents. —————- Read this news also….
