The central government had directed OTT platform ZEE5 to remove Diljit Dosanjh starrer ‘Sutlej’, citing ‘security concerns’ and obligations under the Information Technology (IT) Rules 2021. The film is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalda during the turbulent 1990s in Punjab. Khalda had investigated the cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies in Punjab between 1984 and 1994. He was kidnapped in 1995 and was never seen after that.
