Roman Reigns’ much-anticipated in-ring return, the mighty John Cena’s Undisputed Championship tussle and Randy Orton’s exciting tag team face-off, among other intense fixtures, are set to thrill a global audience at the exciting WWE SummerSlam 2025 to be held on August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Reigns, who has been on a part-time deal with WWE since 2022, only appears in specific matches. The giant wrestler recently made his comeback to the WWE scene after a prolonged break since WrestleMania 41. He will be joining hands with Jey Uso for a tag team clash with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
Cena’s passionate fans will be glued to the WWE Undisputed Championship match, as the legend is set to contest Cody Rhodes to settle their feud for the prized silverware once and for all. Cena first bagged the title from Rhodes at the Showcase of the Immortals. He also kept Orton and CM Punk at bay to retain it at the WWE Backlash and WWE Night of Champions, respectively.
Orton’s appearance at the WWE SummerSlam will involve an interesting tag-team clash, where he partners with celebrity debutant Jelly Roll against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. Also part of the marquee 38th annual edition of the WWE SummerSlam will be a World Heavyweight Championship match between Punk and Gunther.
Fans can also expect an exciting set of duels in the women’s leg of the two-night SummerSlam showdown, with Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill contesting the WWE Women’s Championship face-off alongside a triple-threat Women’s World Championship contest featuring Naomi, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.
