Applications for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) 2027 have opened for admission to undergraduate B.Tech programmes at VIT group institutions. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website, viteee.vit.ac.in.

According to the official website, the last date to submit the form is March 31, 2027. The entrance exam is tentatively scheduled to be held from April 27 to May 2, 2027 while admit cards will be made available from April 25 to April 30. Results will be tentatively declared by the second week of May 2027.

VITEEE 2027: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, or are appearing for the examination in 2027, are eligible to apply, subject to the prescribed requirements. Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.

For most B.Tech programmes, applicants must secure an aggregate of at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology, depending on their subject combination. The minimum aggregate requirement is 50% for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories and those from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and the specified northeastern states.

Candidates should check the official admission guidelines for programme-specific requirements.

VITEEE 2027: Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,450. The fee is non-refundable and can be paid through net banking, credit card or debit card.

VITEEE 2027: Exam Pattern

VITEEE 2027 will be conducted as a computer-based test lasting two hours. The question paper will contain 100 multiple-choice questions in English.

The paper will comprise 40 questions in Mathematics or Biology, 25 each in Physics and Chemistry, five in Aptitude and five in English. Candidates will receive four marks for each correct answer, while one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Unanswered questions and questions marked for review will receive zero marks.

Candidates can appear for VITEEE 2027 only once. B.Tech admissions will be based on the entrance examination rank, eligibility and seat availability through the counselling process.
