In Uttarakhand’s famous Ankita Bhandari murder case, the watch of judgment has now come. The Additional District and Sessions Judge’s court of Kotdwar will give its verdict on May 30 in this sensational case. In this two -year -old case, not only Uttarakhand, the eyes of the entire country are on this decision of the court.

The hearing in the court will start from 10:30 am. In view of security, the police will seal the 200 meter scope of the court premises. Only the lawyer, the case related to the case and the necessary staff will be allowed to enter. Police force will be deployed under the leadership of SSP Pauri.

Investigation and trial of the case

All three accused of this heinous murder- Pulkit Arya, Saurabh Bhaskar and Ankit Gupta are currently in judicial custody. Pulkit was the owner of Arya Vantara Resort, where Ankita was mysteriously missing on 18 September 2022. Later, his body was recovered from a canal, causing resentment across the state.

The SIT was constituted to investigate the case, which filed a charge sheet of more than 500 pages. A total of 97 witnesses were nominated in it, out of which the prosecution introduced 47 witnesses.

Pulkit Arya has been framed under sections 302 (murder), 201 (eradication of evidence), 354A (tampering) and immoral body trade Prevention Act. At the same time, both other accused have also been accused of support in murder and immoral acts.

Father’s emotional appeal

Ankita’s father Virendra Singh Bhandari said, “My daughter’s killers were hanged. The government promised that Srikot Nursing College would be named after Ankita, but till date. Taking the name of VIP Ajay Kumar, he alleged that the government is giving him political patronage and is putting a hindrance in a fair investigation and a fair investigation has been obstructed.

This case has not only raised questions on the law and order of Uttarakhand, but has also launched a deep debate about the safety, power protection and transparency of justice process in the whole country. People have the same demand, the culprits should get the death penalty. Now everyone’s eyes are on the court decision coming on Friday.

Was murdered in 2022

19 -year -old Ankita, who worked as a receptionist at the Vantara Resort near Rishikesh, was allegedly pushed by resort operator Pulkit Arya in September 2022 with two other employees in the Chila Canal. Initial investigation has revealed that Ankita refused to give ‘Extra Service’ to a ‘VIP’ guest at the resort and was murdered due to controversy arising from this. Arya, son of the former BJP leader and two other accused-Kanit Gupta and Saurabh Bhaskar are currently in jail.
