In this case, a bench of three judges Chief Justice Surya Kant, Justice JK Maheshwari and Augustine George Masih will hear the case titled Definition of Aravalli Hills and Mountain Ranges and Related Issues. In a judgment on 20 November 2025, the Supreme Court had accepted a definition suggested by the Mining Regulation Committee of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The Supreme Court will hear the case on January 21.
