A tragic accident has occurred during digging in a tunnel in Sikkim, in which 10 people have died. This tunnel is said to be of NHPC. It is being said that this accident happened due to methane gas during digging in the tunnel. The explosion was so strong that there was chaos on the spot. The administration has sealed the entire area and started investigation. Initial investigation has revealed that safety standards were not followed during the excavation and the gas leak was not detected.
