Thousands of farmers have marched towards the residence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai to fight for loan waiver and land rights. The long march of farmers has started from Nashik-Akole towards Mumbai. These farmers say that the Chief Minister will reach his residence and present his demands. Farmers march towards Mumbai! Farmers in Maharashtra have announced an all-out fight against the government. More than 12 thousand farmers and tribals are moving towards Mumbai from Akole and Nashik with more than 1000 vehicles.

Under the leadership of All India Kisan Sabha AIKS, this long march is adamant on reaching Mumbai and going straight to CM residence Varsha. While the Chief Minister has called for talks at Sahyadri Guest House at 4 pm today, the farmers are in a cross mood. They don’t just want assurances, but written and concrete decisions. The most important demand of the agitators is that farmers who pay regular loans should also get loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh. The assistance of Rs 5000 being given in 305 drought-hit taluks of the state is inadequate, proper compensation should be given for it and the two stalled installments of Namo Shetkari Yojana should be released immediately. Apart from this, farmers also have many demands.
