A TMC local leader in Howrah was allegedly tied with a rope, his head shaved, and paraded with a shoe garland by angry villagers after being accused of corruption linked to the 100 Days Employment Scheme. The leader, identified as Sannyasi Manna, was later rescued by police and taken into custody.
