Sophie Cunningham has revealed that around 20 people are being watched by the FBI over concerns about her safety. The Indiana Fever guard shared the details during an appearance on podcaster Theo Von’s show, where she spoke about the stalking problem faced by WNBA players. Cunningham also discussed one man, Kevin Singh, who is being held in Indiana on charges of felony stalking, felony intimidation and misdemeanor harassment. Singh has pleaded not guilty. While Cunningham did not connect the alleged stalking to her public views on transgender athletes in women’s sports, she praised the WNBA for improving security around its players as concerns about their safety continue.
Sophie Cunningham Shares Details of FBI Monitoring and Kevin Singh Case
Cunningham explained that stalking has become a serious concern in her life.
‘We do have a lot of stalkers. I know I do,’ she told podcaster Theo Von. ‘And like that’s a negative side of things that people don’t think about. And so you do want to feel secure.
‘We’ll have to check if I’m even allowed to say this,’ Cunningham continued. ‘I have, I think, 20 people, kind of, that the FBI are watching for me.’
She also spoke about Singh, who was arrested in June. Prosecutors allege he delivered a package addressed to ‘Sophie’ at Gainbridge Fieldhouse containing a Guns N’ Roses T-shirt sprayed with men’s cologne and a letter. They say his messages to Cunningham later became threatening, even after he received a cease-and-desist letter and was banned from the arena.
‘I know one of them,’ Cunningham said of her alleged stalkers. ‘He’s locked away now… His name’s Kevin.’
She then joked about her pet donkey, who shares the same name.
‘Do I need to rename Kevin?’ she asked.
According to court documents reported by Fox59.com, Cunningham initially dismissed the messages but later became fearful.
‘She has been staying in her home more, and she’s been having nightmares,’ read the court file. ‘Sophie Cunningham also said she feels like she is always watching her back, doesn’t feel safe and is fearful of Kevin Singh.’
Sophie Cunningham’s Case Highlights WNBA Player Safety Concerns
Singh has also sued the Fever’s parent company, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, over his ban from the arena. The case comes after another incident involving the team, as Michael Lewis pleaded guilty to stalking Caitlin Clark in July 2025 and received a 2.5-year jail sentence.
Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears said the case highlights the seriousness of threats against public figures.
‘The internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass and intimidate others. Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously,’ Mears said in a statement.
‘Coming forward is never easy, regardless of a person’s position or public profile. The victim is setting an example by speaking out. No one should have to endure harassment, intimidation or threats of violence, and every person deserves to feel safe in their workplace and throughout our community.’
