In April 2025, the SIP contribution has reached a record high level of ₹ 26,632 crore. This information has been given in the data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI).
According to AMFI data, India’s Mutual Fund Industry has recorded a contribution of the Record Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) in April 2025. In which the total inflow reached ₹ 26,632 crore, which is the highest ever for any one month.
Number of contribution accounts in April 8.38 crore
In April, 1.36 crore SIP accounts were closed or matured. Despite this, the number of contribution accounts has increased from 8.11 crores to 8.38 crores in March.
This reflects the continuous interest of investors in long -term wealth creation. There are 46 lakh new SIP accounts in April. At the same time, 40.19 lakh accounts were added in March last month.
Total Aum ₹ 70 lakh crore in new record level in April
Despite the decline in equity inflow, the mutual fund industry has seen a total of impressive growth. Total Asset Under Management (AUM) has reached a new record level of ₹ 70 lakh crore in April, which was ₹ 65.74 lakh crore in March.
Net equity inflow in April was more than Rs 24,000 crore
In April 2024, March 2024 has been equal to both the Equity Inflow Gross and NET cells. Gros inflow in equity category with changing market trends has now reduced by 30% to about 55,000 crore in the last three months in June/July 2024.
Net equity inflow in the month of April is slightly higher than Rs 24,000 crore, which is about 40% less than Rs 40,000 crore in June 2024.
