On the second trading day of the week, on today i.e. Tuesday, May 27, the Sensex is trading about 750 points to 81,450. The Nifty is also down by about 200 points, it is at 24,800 levels.
29 out of 30 shares of Sensex declines one. A total of 11 shares, including NTPC, Bajaj Finserv, have a decline of up to 1.8%. IndusInd Bank has a gain of 0.70%.
44 out of 50 shares of Nifty decline while 6 are rose. The IT index of NSE declines by 0.93%, 0.60% in auto and 0.73% in private bank. There is a slight rise in media, pharma and realty.
Mixed business in Asian market, US declines
- In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei is trading at 37,440 points and Korea’s Kospi is trading at 2,631 levels at 2,631.
- Hong Kong’s Hangseng index is trading 73 points (0.31%) to 23,209 and China’s Shanghai Composite is trading down 11 points at 3,335.
- On May 23, the US Dow Jones fell 256 points to 41,603, Nasdaq Composite below 188 points (1%) at 18,737 and S&P 500 also fell 39 points (0.67%) to close at 5,802.
Domestic investors bought shares worth 1,746 crore on 26 May
- On May 26, Foreign Investors (FIIs) purchased Rs 135.98 crore in the cash segment and Rs 1,745.72 crore by domestic investors (DIS).
- So far, foreign investors have purchased a net of Rs 12,327.59 crore in the cash segment and Rs 36,243.28 crore in the cash segment.
- Net purchases of foreign investors in April stood at Rs 2,735.02 crore. Domestic investors also purchased a net of ₹ 28,228.45 crore in a month.
‘The Leela’ Hotels’s second day today
The IPO of Shloss Bangalore Limited, a parent company of Indian luxury hotel chain ‘The Leela’, has been opened for subscription from 26 May today. Retail investors can bid for this by 28 May 2025. Through this issue, the company wants to raise Rs 3,500.

Yesterday the market was up 455 points
The stock market increased on the first trading day of the week i.e. Monday, 26 May. The Sensex climbed 455 points to close at 82,176 levels. The Nifty also rose by 148 points, it closed at 25,001 levels.
The Sensex declined by 22 shares out of 30 and a decline in 8. A total of 9 shares including Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Motors closed up to 2.17%. Eaterial i.e. Jomato fell by 4.55%.
38 out of 50 shares of Nifty declined and 12 declined. All the sectors of NSE closed up. Auto index rose by 1.05%, Metal 0.94%, IT 1.02% and realty 0.76%.
