What is going on in your heart and mind in this special moment?

I feel proud of myself. I have won the first Miss World Taj for Thailand. This is a big chance and respect for me.

When your name was announced for Miss World 2025, what came to mind first?

I could not believe it. My reaction was O My God and I hugged my friend and cried. But apart from this it was a proud moment. I know that the people of my country have been waiting for this crown for a long time. This year we had high expectations and I am very happy that we have won it.

How will you desk your Miss World Journey?

This has been a beautiful and great journey for me. I felt good by staying here in Telangana where I went to the places where I have met. The love, color and beauty of the people of Telangana have added a lot to my life.

The moment when Opal was crowned Miss World 2025.

When did you decide that you want to be a part of the beauty pageant?

When I was 18, I got a chance and invitation. Then I thought this is an opportunity that you will not find again and again in life. This is a great chance. Along with this, it was also completing my beauty with purpose project. This was a big opportunity for me when I could represent not only my culture but my life’s purpose on an international stage.

There is ever such a moment in life when someone has said that you cannot do it?

Yes, there are such moment. When I was quite young, my dream was to make diplomat. At that time there were many people who used to tell me that I would not be able to do this because I am a woman. He said that it is very difficult for a woman to work in this field. Also, my parents are not from this field. I did not pay attention to the words of those people and I believed in myself. I got a chance to study in international relations at the university.

You talk on issues like breast cancer. You yourself have suffered it. What do you want to tell the world on this issue?

I want to make people aware of breast cancer. It is important to be aware of all of us on this issue because it can happen to anyone. Everyone should care for their health. Routine checkup should be done. Even if something goes wrong, the doctor should dare. If breast cancer is known at the beginning, then it can be avoided. I want to tell people this.

Do you have a plan to meet Prime Minister Modi?

Yes, I would like to meet them. I want to meet him and thank him that he gave us all the opportunity for such a great experience in India.

Have you seen a Hindi film? Do you have a plan to work in the Indian film industry?

I have seen ‘Gangubai’. I like Alia Bhatt very much, she was also in this film. If I get a chance to join the Indian industry then it will be very good.

You mentioned Prabhas and his film ‘Bahubali’. have you seen the movie?

No, I have not been able to watch this film yet but it is in my watch list. We went to Ramoji Film City, where I saw the beautiful set of ‘Bahubali’. He was like dreams. I told myself that I will watch this film as soon as I will get time after Miss World Competition.

Apart from health and breast cancer awareness, I will tell all the girls to always believe in yourself. Recognize your goal and try to fulfill it. I believe that a woman can do anything if she is sure of herself.
