NEET PG 2025 Result Date: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) successfully conducted the NEET PG 2025 examination on August 3 in a single shift across 1,052 test centres in 301 cities. Over 2.42 lakh medical aspirants appeared for the exam, making it the largest computer-based test in India to be held in a single shift, according to a press release issued by NBEMS.
Originally scheduled for June 15 in two shifts, the exam faced strong objections from aspirants over concerns of unfair evaluation due to the multiple-shift format. The matter reached the Supreme Court, which on May 30 directed NBEMS to conduct the exam in a single shift, while allowing it to retain the June 15 date. However, NBEMS later sought additional time for logistical arrangements, leading to the exam being postponed to August 3.
With the exam now completed, NEET PG 2025 results are expected to be declared around September 3. As per the official information bulletin, NBEMS typically takes about a month to release results. In 2023, the results were declared 12 days after the exam. Once announced, candidates will be able to download their scorecards from the official website at natboard.edu.in using their login credentials.
The scorecards will be available for six months from the date of result declaration, after which no requests will be entertained.
Enhanced Security Measures To Restore Faith In Exam System
In the wake of recent controversies surrounding competitive exams, NBEMS implemented several security and surveillance measures to ensure transparency and fairness. More than 2,200 faculty members from medical colleges and NBEMS-accredited hospitals were deployed to monitor the conduct of the examination and report any irregularities.
The board also worked in coordination with the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, to prevent cyber fraud and malpractices. Nearly 300 cyber commandos were stationed at sensitive test centres, while over 200 personnel at the NBEMS headquarters continuously monitored live CCTV feeds from all venues.
Senior medical faculty, deans, and members of the NBEMS Governing Body also participated in surprise inspections as part of flying squads.

Tie-Breaking Criteria For NEET PG 2025
In case two or more candidates secure the same score, NBEMS will follow a four-step tie-breaking process:
- Candidate with fewer overall negative responses
- Candidate with fewer negative responses in Sections A to E (sequentially)
- Higher aggregate marks in MBBS
- Candidate older in age
