The BJP has given significant space to women leaders in its new organisation. Out of 65 organisational positions, 12 have gone to women leaders. The biggest headline is Smriti Irani’s return as a National General Secretary, one of the most influential posts within the BJP. The message: Women remain central to BJP’s political and organisational strategy.
