With the beginning of March, the weather has started changing rapidly in many parts of the country. The day temperature in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Haryana has reached above normal and in many cities the mercury is being recorded from 35 to 39 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), in the coming 3-4 days, the temperature in many areas may cross 40°C and heatwave conditions may also occur at some places. IMD has issued heat wave alert in Gujarat on Saturday. Heat-wave alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh in the first week of March itself. The Meteorological Department has predicted heat wave in the low lying areas of Kullu, Mandi and Solan districts on Saturday. However, there is a possibility of snowfall in high altitude areas. The temperature in the plain areas of Uttarakhand has also become higher than normal. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in the hilly districts of Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand from March 8 to March 11. Weather condition for next 2 days – 8-9 March – There is a possibility of light rain in Odisha, Sikkim, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
