The Los Angeles Lakers star reached the mark in the team’s 125-107 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder, further extending a playoff legacy built over more than two decades in the league.

Playing in his 23rd NBA season, LeBron James continues to defy expectations with his durability and consistency. The four-time NBA champion has reached the playoffs with three different franchises and remains comfortably ahead of the competition in postseason appearances. Former Lakers guard Derek Fisher is second on the all-time list, 41 games behind James, while legends Tim Duncan, Robert Horry and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar round out the top five.
Despite turning 41 this season, James continues to produce elite numbers. The 22-time All-Star averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game this year, proving he remains one of the league’s most impactful players. Remarkably, he has missed the playoffs only four times in his entire career, a testament to both his longevity and sustained excellence.
Los Angeles Lakers Lose To Oklahoma City Thunder
In his historic 300th postseason appearanceJames finished with 23 points, six assists, three steals and two rebounds in 38 minutes. He also battled through physical discomfort during the contest, appearing to favour his right hip and wrist after a couple of hard falls.
However, the individual milestone came in disappointing circumstances for the LA Lakers. With the loss, Los Angeles fell behind 0-2 in the best-of-seven series against the defending champions. The series now shifts to Los Angeles for Games 3 and 4, where the Lakers will need a strong response on their home court to keep their championship hopes alive.
While questions persist about how much longer James plans to play, his pursuit of another NBA title remains central to his motivation as he looks to further strengthen his place among basketball’s all-time greats.
