JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026: As per the official notice, the phase 1 exam will be held on December 13 and the phase 2 on April 26.

The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has commenced its registration window for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026 for Class 6 students from today, June 4. Students can apply for the admissions by visiting the official website, cbseitms.rcil.gov.in. The last date to apply is July 29.

As per the official notice, the phase 1 exam will be held on December 13 and the phase 2 on April 26. The result for summer-bound JNVs will be declared by March and winter-bound by May.

JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Students who have finished Class 5 by the 2026 school year or who are repeaters are ineligible. Furthermore, 75 per cent of seats will be designated for rural candidates, with the remaining accessible to both urban and rural applicants based on merit. Rural candidates must have completed Classes 3, 4, and 5 in government or recognised rural schools, as well as Class 5 in the district where they wish to enroll.

Candidates from the National Institute of Open Schooling must submit a rural status certificate proving three years of living and study in rural regions. A candidate shall be considered urban if, during the sessions of Classes 3, 4, and 5, they have even one day of school in an urban region.

Age Limit: Students must be born between May 1, 2014 and July 31, 2016.

JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website, navodaya.gov.in.

Step 2: On the webpage, click the link that says “Class 6 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2026″.

Step 3: Click to register and complete the information.

Step 4: Submit the relevant documents and pay the fees.

Step 5: Submit the JNVST Class 6 application form and print it for future reference.

JNVST Class 6 Admission 2026: Documents Required

–– Candidate’s photograph

–– Certificate signed by parent & candidate and verified by Headmaster

–– In the event that the candidate does not have an Aadhaar number, the parent’s residence certificate issued by a qualified government authority must be submitted.
