IT company Cognizant has created a unique AI system. It is finding new ways to earn money by analyzing employees’ emails, meetings and chats. The company has so far created a new sales pipeline of about Rs 1,900 crore through ‘Context Engineering’ technology. CEO Ravi Kumar says that the company will reach this figure to Rs 9,500 crore by the end of 2026.
This AI system captures signals from interactions with customers (clients) by employees in sales, delivery and support departments. It identifies business opportunities that are not visible through traditional methods. Obviously, it is now important for employees to know that their every email and chat is now being monitored by the company. With the help of AI, this data can be used to find new customers and increase profits. This technology is turning information scattered in the workforce into new businesses.
To make this project successful, Cognizant has partnered with Rohan Murthy’s startup ‘WorkFabric’. Rohan is the son of Narayan Murthy, founder of IT company Infosys. Now in Cognizant, an employee will get a new job on the basis of his experience instead of his biodata. In the IT sector, it is no longer enough to merely increase productivity, rather income opportunities are being explored. Companies like Meta are also training AI agents by tracking employees’ mouse clicks and keystrokes. Cognizant has also started using its new technology to deploy employees on new projects.
Getting new business even before tender, customers’ budget also monitored through AI
– The new AI system can anticipate risks in projects on a global scale. It provides expert advice and necessary conversations before damage is done or problems escalate. Due to this, Cognizant is getting new business directly even before the clients float the tender in the market.
– AI system creates virtual model of every client account that combines signals from departments like sales, finance. On one occasion the system detected that a client was under pressure to reduce engineering spend by 15%. AI advised the sales team to send a proposal to improve quality assurance.
