Do not feel anxious: CBSE responds after blurred pages, portal issues spark panic


After days of complaints over portal crashes, blurred answer sheets and payment glitchesCBSE has finally responded publicly to the growing anxiety around the Class 10 and 12 post-result process.

In a statement posted on X, the board said, “CBSE remains committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, and accuracy in the evaluation and re-evaluation process.”

The board also extended the last date to apply for scanned answer books till May 24, 2026.

STUDENTS REPORTED BLURRED PAGES, MISSING ANSWERS

Over the past few days, students and parents flooded social media with complaints about unclear scanned copies, pages allegedly missing from answer books and doubts over unchecked responses.

Acknowledging the concerns, CBSE admitted it had received feedback regarding “difficulties in accessing the portal during peak demand, delays in payment confirmation, and concerns after viewing scanned copies, such as blurred or missing pages”.

The board added that some students also raised concerns about “unmarked or incorrectly marked responses.”

CBSE said these issues reflected both “technical capacity challenges and student apprehensions arising during the post-result process.”

‘NO CHILD WILL BE PLACED AT A DISADVANTAGE’

Trying to reassure worried students, the board urged families not to panic.

“Parents and students requested not to feel anxious if they have encountered such issues,” the statement said.

CBSE stressed that “every answer script flagged for review is examined by a panel of subject experts” to ensure fairness and accuracy.

It also clarified that if “any page is unclear”, “any pages are missing” or “a response has not been graded”, the matter “will be addressed as per the prescribed mechanism.”

The board further said, “We wish to reassure every parent and student that no child will be placed at a disadvantage because of technical difficulties or process-related issues.”

WHY THE DEADLINE WAS EXTENDED

CBSE said the portal saw “exceptionally high volume of traffic” during peak hours, causing disruptions for many students trying to apply for scanned copies.

Because of this, the board announced a one-day extension till May 24 and also clarified that the re-evaluation portal “shall remain available for two days after the last scanned copy has been despatched by the Board.”

Students were also advised not to make repeated payment attempts while waiting for confirmation, as this could create duplicate applications and further delays.
