The Detroit Pistons were staring at elimination. The Orlando Magic looked in full control.
Then everything flipped.
Detroit stormed back from a 24-point deficit to win 93-79 and force a Game 7, powered by Cade Cunningham’s second-half takeover.

The comeback makes the Pistons just the third team in the play-by-play era to rally from 20+ points down at halftime while facing elimination.
Orlando’s Collapse For the Record Books
At 62-38 early in the third quarter, Orlando were cruising. The No. 8 seed closing out the No. 1 seed felt inevitable.
It wasn’t.
The Magic went ice-cold in a stretch that will be hard to explain or forget:
- 23 straight missed field goals
- 13 consecutive missed threes
- Nearly 14 minutes without a basket
- Just 19 points in the second half
That 19-point return is now the lowest-scoring half in playoff history in the shot-clock era, worse than the previous mark set by the Houston Rockets in 2018.
And while Orlando froze, Cunningham stepped up.
He scored 19 of his 32 points after halftime and added 10 rebounds, dictating the tempo as Detroit chipped away and then surged ahead.
Now, with momentum fully flipped, Detroit head home for Game 7 with belief and a crowd behind them.
Raptors Force Game 7 in OT Thriller
Over in the East, the Toronto Raptors also kept their season alive, edging the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-110 in overtime.
RJ Barrett delivered the moment, drilling a three-pointer with 1.2 seconds left — the first game-winning field goal in the final seconds of OT to avoid elimination in the play-by-play era.
Scottie Barnes led Toronto with 25 points and 14 assists, while Barrett and Ja’Kobe Walter added 24 each.
Cleveland had their chances. Evan Mobley (26 points, 14 rebounds) missed a potential winner, while Donovan Mitchell scored 24 and James Harden added 16.
A shell-shocked Cavs now head back home for Game 7, where a surging Scottie Barnes will be eyeing his chances with the Raptors.
