The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the School Academic Performance Report Card for all CBSE-affiliated schools for the academic session 2024–25. This initiative is part of the Board’s ongoing effort to promote data-driven reflection and evidence-based academic planning in schools.

The School Academic Performance Report Card provides a comprehensive analysis of the school’s performance in Classes 10 and 12 Board Examinations. It includes:

Comparative Performance Insights: The report benchmarks the school’s academic outcomes against state-level and overall CBSE Board School averages across subjects, helping schools identify strengths and areas for improvement. It also highlights performance trends among male and female students, enabling schools to take informed steps towards ensuring gender equity in learning outcomes.

Holistic Performance Indicators: Beyond academics, the report also captures school-level participation and achievements in sports and games, benchmarked against performance at the cluster and zonal levels.

Through this initiative, CBSE aims to provide schools with actionable insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance student learning outcomes. “Through this initiative, CBSE aims to empower schools with actionable insights to foster continuous improvement and enhance student learning outcomes. Schools are encouraged to review their report cards carefully, identify focus areas, and integrate the findings into their School Annual Pedagogical Plans,” reads the official notice.

Heads of Institutions can access their respective School Academic Performance Report Cards through the CBSE School Login Portal using their credentials.

This initiative underscores CBSE’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and holistic excellence in school education, aligning with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

CBSE has also published a sample report card. As per the board, the overall average performance of a school is calculated by dividing the total marks in all subjects by the total number of subject instances taken by a student. It has also issued the report card of the gender-wise and subject-wise marks as well distribution of participants by sports.
