CBSE implemented a two-board exam system for Class 10 for the first time this year. The second board exam was held between May 15 and May 21, 2026. Nearly 6.7 lakh applications were received for the second board exam. Of the total, around 5.25 lakh students registered for the improvement exam, while over 85,000 applied for the compartment exam.
