Asian Games 2026, India events Live Updates and Results: India will be aiming for another big medal haul on Day 8 of the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya today. Several Indian athletes will be in action across a packed schedule, with medals up for grabs in athletics, shooting, canoe sprint, kabaddi and other disciplines.
The day will begin early with the men’s marathon, where Sawan Barwal and Kartik Karkera will look to make their mark, while Tajinderpal Singh and Karanveer Singh will compete in the men’s shot put final later in the day.
India’s women’s kabaddi team will take on Iran in the final, followed by the men’s team facing the same opponents.
There will also be plenty of interest in badminton, squash, fencing, hockey, archery and table tennis. Lakshya Sen, PV Sindhu, Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh are among the prominent Indian names in action. With India having won 23 medals so far, the contingent will look to add more to its tally.
