Current Governor of Bihar Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been sent to Kerala.
The central government on Tuesday evening appointed new governors in three states, while swapped governors in two states.
Former Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla has been made the Governor of Manipur and former Army Chief VK Singh has been made the new Governor of Mizoram. Apart from this, Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has been appointed as the Governor of Odisha.
On the other hand, the governors of Bihar and Kerala were exchanged. Current Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammed Khan has been sent to Bihar and current Governor of Bihar Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has been sent to Kerala.

Former Home Secretary is the new Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla

Ajay Kumar Bhalla has been former Home Secretary. During his service, the Central Government had extended his service 4 times. Ajay Kumar has long administrative experience. His appointment in Manipur can also be considered special from the perspective that caste violence started in Manipur in May 2023 and is still continuing.
600 days have passed since the Manipur violence. During this period, more than 237 people have died so far. More than 1500 people were injured, 60 thousand people left their homes and are living in relief camps. Till now 11 thousand FIRs have been registered and 500 people have been arrested. About 40 thousand soldiers are deployed in 288 companies of Central Armed Forces across the state.
General (retd) VK Singh, also a Union Minister twice

General (retd) VK Singh became the first Army Chief who has taken commando training. General Singh Azad was the 26th Army Chief of India. The general’s father was a colonel in the army and grandfather a junior commissioned officer.
VK Singh also participated in the India-Pakistan war of 16 December 1971. Singh has been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Yudh Seva Medal for his distinguished service during Operation Pawan.
He was Minister of State for External Affairs twice in the Modi government from 2014-19. For the second time, he was the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Civil Aviation from 2019-24.
Remained on target of state government while being Kerala CM

Arif Mohammed remained in the news a lot during his tenure as the Governor of Kerala. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan had accused him of not approving many of his bills, even though these bills have been passed by the Assembly. Vijayan had also gone to the Supreme Court against Arif Mohammed. The court had given notice to the office of Governor Arif Mohammad Khan on 20 November 2023.
Similarly, Arif Mohammed had alleged that people smuggling in the state of Kerala are getting protection from the CM office. Along with this he had said – The Chief Minister is accusing me that I want to recruit RSS people for the posts of the university. If even one such example is found, I will resign.
Kambhampati has been an associate professor at Andhra University.

Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati has been an Associate Professor at Andhra University. He became fully active in politics after taking voluntary retirement in 1993. Has been MP from Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat in 2014.
First joined RSS, then joined BJP

Arlekar was initially associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), after which he joined the BJP. He has been the General Secretary of Goa BJP and President of South Goa.
In 2014, when Goa CM Manohar Parrikar was made the Defense Minister, Arlekar’s name was at the forefront for the post of CM. But Laxmikant Parsekar was chosen as the new CM in his place.
