Mika Singh and Diljit Dosanjh have not lent their voice to any song together till now.

Singer Mika Singh has raised questions on Diljit Dosanjh regarding the promotion of Bollywood films. He said that Diljit did not promote ‘Border 2’ much.

According to Mika, Diljit posted about his film in which Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was. However, Diljit had shared the first look, trailer and some BTS videos of ‘Border 2’.

Talking to Times Now, Mika said that he is not jealous of Diljit. He is happy with his success.

Mika said, “Why would I be jealous of Diljit? I am proud of him. After Daler Paaji, if anyone has made a mark as a singer by wearing a turban, then it is Diljit. He is doing a very good job.”

After this Mika mentioned ‘Border 2’. Mika said, “I may be wrong, but I think when ‘Border 2’ came out, Diljit paaji didn’t promote it even one percent. He didn’t thank Sunny paaji even one percent.”

Diljit worked with Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty in 'Border 2'. Made under the direction of Anurag Singh, this film was the sequel of 'Border'.

Mika said that he has never seen Diljit publicly explaining the importance of working with Sunny Deol.

He said, “I have never seen Diljit saying that my film with Sunny Deol is coming, it is a big deal. He never talked about ‘Border 2’. Even after the film came out, I did not see him posting about it.”

Mika said, “‘Main Vyapar Aaung’ was also released, but he did not post anything on it. He just posted about the film which had a Pakistani actor in it.”

However, Diljit had shared content related to the promotion of ‘Border 2’. He released his first look from the film in December 2025. Diljit also shared some behind-the-scenes videos related to the shooting of the film.

This content related to 'Border 2' is still present on Diljit's Instagram.

Mika raised questions on promotion of Bollywood films

Regarding Diljit’s Bollywood projects, Mika said, “When you work in Bollywood, why don’t you promote it? Then you say that I don’t need Bollywood, but you work in Bollywood.”

He said, “I am telling him these things like a brother. ‘Border 2’ is one of the biggest films of our country. It is a film about India. Why don’t you post about it?”

Mika further added, “You can check his Instagram and tell if there is even a single video promoting ‘Border 2’.”

Mika also spoke on ‘Sardar Ji 3’

Mika also mentioned Diljit’s film ‘Sardar Ji 3’. Pakistani actress Hania Aamir was with Diljit and Neeru Bajwa in this film.

Mika said, “He only posted about his film which had a Pakistani heroine. Neeru Bajwa is also in that film, but there was no mention of Neeru Bajwa. I think you should promote everything.”

It is noteworthy that because of Hania Aamir, the film ‘Sardaar Ji 3’ came into controversy last year. Questions were raised about his presence in the film as tensions between India and Pakistan increased after the Pahalgam terror attack.

Due to strong opposition from film organizations, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had refused to give a certificate to the film.

The film was not released in theaters in India. It was released overseas on 27 June 2025.

Last year, when the controversy regarding the film had come to light, Mika Singh had also given a lesson to Diljit Dosanjh about working with a Pakistani actress.

Mika Singh posted on his official Instagram and wrote,

Friends, country first, as we all know that relations between India and Pakistan are not going well at the moment. Despite this, some people are behaving carelessly. They should think twice before working with any artist from across the border, especially when the dignity of our country is at stake.

‘There was a film in which Fawad Khan (Pakistani actor) and Vaani Kapoor were there, we all together opposed it, but it seems some people still have not learned the lesson. The most shocking thing is that a fake singer who did 10 shows in India, in which thousands of fans bought his tickets, has now disappeared. He cheated the fans and left them helpless.

Diljit came to meet Mika in the initial days

Despite raising questions on Diljit’s Bollywood projects, Mika said that he supported him in times of criticism.

He said, “Even when Khalistani people were after him, I was with him. I had said no, he is our Sardar boy.”

Mika said, “I don’t think Khalistanis should harass him. He is bringing glory to our country and taking Punjabi music to the next level. This should not happen to him.”

Mika said that Diljit had come to meet him in the early days of his career.

“Initially he came to me and ate butter chicken. I think now he is a vegetarian,” Mika said.

He also told that he had given recording facilities to Diljit’s team.

Mika said, “Many times his manager Sonali would call and say that recording had to be done immediately. At that time, my studio in Lokhandwala was always used.”

Mika said- I did not go to Pakistan secretly

Mika performed at a private wedding in Karachi in 2019. His visit to Pakistan was criticized in India. After this, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees banned him. Later this ban was lifted.

On this incident, Mika said that he had not gone to Pakistan secretly.

He said, “When I went to Pakistan, India-Pakistan relations were good. The Uri attack took place after I reached Pakistan.”

Mika said, “I did not go to Pakistan secretly. I went with a visa. At that time no one was saying that I should not perform there.”

“If you perform at a private event there, earn some money and bring it back to India, that money is taxed in India,” he said.

Mika Singh along with his 14-member band performed at a high-profile wedding event (Mehendi ceremony) in Karachi city of Pakistan.

Mika also raised questions on the criticism faced by Indian artists when they perform in Pakistan. He said that people do not face any problem when Pakistani singers perform in India.

Mika said, “When they come here and perform, you don’t have any problem. I have no problem with Pakistani singers. When they come here, everyone raises their hands in IIFA.”

“If people in Pakistan are respecting me, then we should be happy with it,” he said.

Mika told about his personal connection with Pakistan

Mika also explained why he has a personal connection with Pakistan. He mentioned the Sikh religious places present there.

Singer said, “Why am I connected with Pakistan? There is an emotional story behind it. Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurudwara Nankana Sahib is there. There are three big Gurudwaras in Pakistan.”

He said, “When I used to get invitations from Pakistan earlier, I used to think that I was being invited by the Gurudwara.”
