Actors Emma Roberts and Cody John are officially married. The American Horror Story star married her fiance in an intimate outdoor ceremony in Idaho on Saturday, July 25, nearly a year after the couple announced their engagement.
Photographs obtained by DeuxMe showed the couple exchanging vows at a private residence. Roberts and John first made their relationship public in 2022 before getting engaged in July 2024.
According to Voguethe 35-year-old actor wore a custom Monique Lhuillier gown for the ceremony, paired with a sheer shawl and a long veil. She later changed into an archival Monique Lhuillier dress for the after-party. John, 36opted for a brown suit.
According to DeuxMeRoberts’ aunt, Oscar-winning actor Julia Roberts, and her husband, Danny Moder, were among those in Idaho for the wedding celebrations. Emma Roberts is the daughter of actor Eric Roberts, Julia Roberts’ older brother.
Last year, Roberts spoke about her relationship with John in an interview with Peoplerecalling the last film that brought them both to tears.
“I watched the movie The Iron Claw with my boyfriend, and the two of us were sobbing,” she said. “It was just a disaster of crying and then laughing at each other for crying, which made us cry even harder.”
A source had earlier told AND! News that Roberts and John met through mutual friends.
“She’s been very content with Cody, and they’re enjoying their relationship and time together,” the source said. “Their friends and family are happy for the both of them and think they make a great couple.”
Roberts is also the mother of four-year-old Rhodes Robert Hedlund, whom she shares with former partner Garrett Hedlund. Her wedding to John marks a new milestone in a relationship that became public in 2022 and culminated in their engagement two years later.
