A private bus filled with devotees met with an accident in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. Two people died in the accident, while seven passengers are said to be injured. The bus had brought devotees from Amritsar for darshan at Baba Balaknath Temple Deotsiddh and Shahtalai.
There was hue and cry on the spot after the accident. Teams of district administration, police and health department immediately reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. According to the information, there were about 35 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. The bus met with an accident in Shahtalai area. Many passengers were injured in the accident. According to the administration, three passengers have been seriously injured in the accident. One of these seriously injured has been referred to PGI Chandigarh for better treatment. Meanwhile, two other seriously injured have been sent to Medical College Hamirpur. Apart from this, four passengers have suffered minor injuries. He is being treated in Barsar Hospital.
As soon as information about the accident was received, the district administration and police teams became active. Health department teams also reached the spot and provided first aid to the injured. Local people also helped the administration during the relief and rescue operations.
It was told by the administration that after the accident, immediate medical care was provided to the injured. Arrangements have been made to send seriously injured passengers to other hospitals for better treatment. At the same time, treatment of minor injured passengers is going on in the local hospital.
