Manoj Jarange, the leader of the Maratha Reservation Movement, started the fast from 29 August.
The Bombay High Court will be heard on the third day today regarding Maratha reservation in Maharashtra. The court on Tuesday allowed the agitating leader Manoj Jarange to stay at the Azad Maidan, the fast at Azad Maidan.
In fact, Advocate Satish Maneshinde, who appeared on behalf of Jarang, requested the court to give time to vacate the ground. At the same time, he also sought time to file a report regarding compliance with the orders given in the previous proceedings.
On Tuesday, the agitation leader Manoj Jarang ended the five -day hunger strike. He had said, ‘We have won. The government has accepted our demands. He had said that if the government issues the GR (order) on the demands of reservation, he will leave Mumbai by 9 pm.

Patil said- compensation will be given in a week
Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil met the other members of the committee on Tuesday afternoon at Azad Maidan with other members of the committee Shivendrasinh Bhosle, Uday Samanta, Manikrao Kokate and discussed the draft prepared by the committee.
Patil said that till now during the protests, the families of those who died will be given compensation and government job within a week according to their educational qualification.
The committee told Jarange that till now (the families of the deceased protesters) a assistance of Rs 15 crore has been given and the remaining amount will be given within a week.
Jarange’s lawyer sought Wednesday’s time
Jarange’s lawyer sought time till 11 pm on Wednesday afternoon from the bench of Chief Justice Mr. Chandrashekhar and Justice Aarti Sathe. Said that the movement continues in a peaceful manner. Law and order will not deteriorate, take responsibility for it. After this, the court accepted the demand for Jarange and adjourned the hearing of the case by Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, the bench of Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) Mr. Chandrashekhar and Justice Aarti Sathe heard twice. The bench had ordered Jarange and his supporters to vacate Azad Maidan by 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. After this, a large number of police were started reaching the ground. The case was heard for the second time after 3 pm.
The court ordered to vacate the ground by 3 pm
During the first day hearing on 1 September, the Bombay High Court had asked the agitators to vacate the ground by 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The High Court also reprimanded the state government. It was said why the administration did not implement its orders. Why not take steps to forcibly vacate the ground.
The court had said that if the situation does not improve by Wednesday, it will issue a tough order and will go to any extent.

Court reprimanded Jarange
The Bombay High Court reprimanded Jarang on continuing the fast unto death at Azad Maidan. Acting Chief Justice (ACJ) Mr. Chandrashekhar and Justice Aarti Sathe had said,
If Azad Maidan did not vacate till 3 o’clock, the protesters will be fined, contempt proceedings and other action will be taken.

ACJ said- ‘You cannot force a High Court Justice to walk to court just because your protesters were dancing on the road. We also want to know from the state government what she was doing?
Jarange is on indefinite hunger strike demanding 10% reservation to the Maratha community in government jobs and education under the Backward Classes (OBC) category from August 29. Today is the 5th day of his fast unto death. Jarang has also stopped drinking water since Monday.

ACJ Chandrasekhar: What is this? Just in the hope that an order will be passed on your application, you cannot sit there. We are clearly telling, they have to move immediately from there. After 3 pm today, no one should be there. We will send the need to someone or go to the streets and sit -in site and see that all the people have gone from there.
