The event will include leaders from 25 countries including Russia, Pakistan and Iran. China can also use it to show the solidarity of global South against Western countries and demonstrate its military strength.

The fight between China and Japan began in 1937. Japan then attacked China and captured a large part of it. The Japanese army massacred the city of Nanjing in China, killing around 3 lakh people. This fight is considered part of the second world war that began in 1939.

Japan later surrendered on 15 August 1945 after the US nuclear attacks, after which it also accepted a defeat against China on 2 September 1945.

China is calling Japan’s defeat its big victory

China is presenting Japan’s defeat as its major victory in recent months. He says that he and the Soviet Union (USSR) contributed the most to the war, while ignoring the role of Western countries like America and Europe.
