Uttar Pradesh News: The historic stick fair of Shri Jaharveer Goga Ji Maharaj, a symbol of faith and tradition, is being organized with full pomp in Saharanpur. A huge crowd of devotees is gathering at Goga Ji Maharaj’s Mhadi located on Gangoh Road. Devotees from many far-flung states are reaching here and offering blue flags and signs.
The tradition of this fair, which has been going on for about 800 years, is still being followed with full devotion. In this fair organized on the occasion of Dashami of Shukla Paksha, Neza and 26 sticks reach Mhadi along with the procession. In this Gughal fair which lasts for three days, the entire area is echoing with the cheers of Goga Ji Maharaj.
Devotees are reaching Mhadi with their family and company and are offering prayers and taking blessings of Baba. A large number of devotees are offering their marks and asking for their wishes. It is believed that the wishes made with true heart are fulfilled in the court of Goga Ji Maharaj. Due to this faith, a large number of devotees reach here every year. Devotee Mohan Bhardwaj told that he has been coming to Goga Ji Maharaj’s Mhadi since childhood. He said that people have deep faith in Baba Jaharveer and there is a belief that the wishes made with true heart get fulfilled. At the same time, Reena Arora told that she felt very good after coming to Mhadi and this Saharanpur It is an important religious fair. He said that people reach here with Sangat and take blessings of Baba. Devotee Anoop Kumar told that every year thousands of people come here to offer nishan and seek blessings of Baba.
Another devotee Shalini Garg told that she is a resident of Saharanpur and has been coming to Goga Ji Maharaj’s Mhadi continuously for the last 16 years. He said that he feels very good after coming here and in Baba’s court, there is a belief that the wishes made with true heart get fulfilled. From these experiences of the devotees, people’s deep faith in the fair is clearly visible. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees who come to the fair with their families and company.
The administration has also made special arrangements for security and order regarding the fair. CCTV cameras have been installed at various places and police forces have been deployed. Keeping in mind the convenience and safety of the devotees, the arrangements are being constantly monitored, the devotees are peacefully performing the puja while following their tradition. The entire fair complex looks devotional due to the cheers of Goga Ji Maharaj.
