Through the film 120 Bahadur, that unheard bravery is being brought alive on the big screen, which never got the respect it deserved in the history of our country. Regarding this film, we had a special conversation with actors Brijesh Karanwal, Dhanveer Singh, Ashutosh Shukla, Ankit Siwach and Digvijay Pratap, who felt the soul and spirit of those brave soldiers of 1962 through their respective characters.
In the conversation, all these actors have openly expressed their connection with the script, rigorous training, experience of shooting at altitude, journey with Farhan Akhtar and their feelings towards the country.
You all are once again bringing our brave warriors alive on screen through stories. How did you all get involved with the script of 120 Bahadur?
Brijesh Karanwal- When I read the script of the film 120 Bahadur, a feeling of patriotism arose in me. I am thankful that I am going to be a part of that story, which is recorded in the pages of our country’s history. I am fortunate that I have got a chance to work in such a film. This moment will remain alive in my heart and mind.
Ashutosh Shukla- When I got the script of this film, I was amazed at how our soldiers sacrificed their lives in defense of the country. He knew that he would not survive, but still he did not step back.

Digvijay Pratap- When I heard the story, I got goosebumps. Where there were 120 brave soldiers, there were thousands of people standing in front of them for the war, and this is the story that most people don’t even know that something like this happened. The film will give you a feeling that you cannot forget throughout your life.
Ankit Siwach- For me, the meaning of bravery had completely changed after watching the film. We used to consider small things as bravery, but by playing the role of a soldier in this film, we came to know what real bravery is.
Dhanveer Singh- There was such a feeling that what kind of clay are these people made of, meaning where did this passion come from within them. It hurts us if we get pricked by a thorn, there was so much dust in the mountains where we shot that our faces turned black, such that there was no need for make-up. At higher altitudes where the temperature went up to -30 degrees, our soldiers stood firm.
How much physical effort did you put in for your role? Because training a soldier is not an easy thing.
Brijesh Karanwal- The training was very complicated for all of us. I have wrestled in Punjab-Haryana, I am a wrestler, so I repeated the old routine again. An action master was called from abroad for our training for the film, who taught us a lot.
We had to undergo short-term training, which is necessary for a soldier, just like a soldier.
Our brave men fought the war of 1962 at a height of 17 thousand feet, in cold air and without any comforts. When all of you were playing his role, were you able to feel that pain and pride?
Ashutosh Shukla- When we were shooting, there were many types of facilities for us at that height. The production team had taken care of everyone, we were provided with all kinds of facilities, we had clothes, shoes, all the equipment.
But if we remember that period, our soldiers did not have anything like this. He would somehow save himself from the cold in minus temperatures by cutting plastic. Imagine what kind of bravery and passion they must have had.

Brijesh Karanwal- This film is the story of our Mother India, the story of entire India. One should watch it with the entire family. This is the story of those brave warriors who fought on the borders for the soil of Mother India.
This story will make you understand what is the real meaning when a soldier applies Indian soil on his forehead like a tilak.
Some of you are new-comers while some have worked in OTT and films also. How was the experience of working with Farhan Akhtar for you?
Brijesh Karanwal- I would say for them that Farhan Akhtar is rich in versatile talent, director, writer, singer, actor and what not! The one thing that makes him different is his humanity. Despite being so multi-talented, there is a sense of reverence in the man which he has inherited.
There is a couplet: How weak are some balloons, which get inflated just by breathing. The scoundrels who get proud forget their status. Salute to Farhan sir, his feet are on the ground.
Ashutosh Shukla- Even when Farhan sir did not have a shoot, he used to sit with us and give cues. He never made us feel that we were working with such a capable person. He was very easily approachable to all of us.

China sometimes tries unsuccessfully to infiltrate and claim some areas of our country as its own. Would you like to answer his intentions with this film?
Brijesh Karanwal- This story is a film of passion and passion. This is the story of Mother India’s vermilion, it is our pride. Now if anyone dares to look at our country, he should understand that now 140 crore people will be found standing on that border. So now don’t even dream that he will be able to snatch the crown of Mother India from us. The question does not arise.
