Pune’s Vadgaon Court has sent Sia Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary to judicial custody for 14 days on July 3.

Investigation into the Ketan Aggarwal murder case in Lohgarh, Pune has revealed that the main accused Siya Goyal had gathered information about the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case of Indore on the internet before the incident.

According to the police, Sia had also searched on the internet whether women are beaten in police custody. This complete information was obtained from the search history of both Sia’s mobiles.

The police had taken Siya to her house two days ago, where they also seized another mobile from her bedroom. Some eyewitnesses of the day of the incident have also been found, whose statements are further strengthening the investigation.

On June 18, Siya and Chetan killed Ketan by pushing him into a 400 feet deep ditch from Lohgarh Fort in Pune. At present both are in judicial custody in Yerwada jail till 16th July.

On the second day of the murder, Sia said to her father – Have courage, Ketan is watching us from above.

According to the police, the very next day Siya reached Ketan’s house and consoled his father and said, ‘Ketan is watching us from above, keep courage.’ Investigation revealed that from June 18 to 23, both the accused continued to lead a normal life and even after their arrest, there was no remorse on their faces.

Police investigation also revealed that Chetan Chaudhary, the second accused who was involved in Ketan’s murder, used to talk to Sia in code words using two numbers in the same mobile.

From planning to murder, the incident took place in 19 days.

• 31 May: Sia came up with a plan to murder Ketan: After the engagement on 11th February, Ketan used to bring Siya home and take her for outings. He was fond of trekking i.e. hill climbing. He asked Siya to go to Lohgarh Fort for trekking. It was here that Siya came up with the plan to murder Ketan.
• June 5: Insisted on going to the fort, Ketan did not go: Siya insisted Ketan to go to Lohgarh Fort again on 4th June. Ketan did not agree. On June 6, tickets for Ketan, his sister, a friend and Sia were booked to go to Bali, Indonesia. According to Pune Police, Siya hid Ketan’s passport to avoid going to Bali.
• June 14: Second attempt, pushed, but Ketan survives: Siya asked Ketan to go to the fort again. According to the police, both of them reached Lohgarh on June 14. Siya pushed Ketan. But Ketan was saved due to the support of a tree. He asked- Why did you push? Siya said, ‘There was a snake, I pushed you to save you from it.’ Ketan came home and told everyone that his life was saved because of Sia.
• June 18: Pushed with boyfriend in third attempt: To celebrate Sia’s birthday on June 19, Ketan had booked a luxury resort in Mahabaleshwar. Before that, Sia convinced Ketan to go to Lohgarh Fort by talking about pre-wedding photoshoot. This time Chetan was also following behind. At one place, when Ketan was looking towards the hills, both of them pushed him from behind.

Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi and Sonam got married on 11 May 2025. Went on honeymoon to Meghalaya just a few days after marriage. Both of them went missing after leaving the homestay on 23 May 2025. On 2 June 2025, Raja’s body was found in a deep ditch near Wei Sawdong Falls in Seohara.

First in the picture is Raja Raghuvanshi. In the middle is the accused wife Sonam and at the end is Raj Kushwaha.

Police allege that his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi along with lover Raj Kushwaha and others conspired to murder. The court is yet to take the final decision on whether all the accused are guilty or not.

At present, Sonam Raghuvanshi has got bail from Meghalaya High Court. Raja Raghuvanshi’s family has challenged this decision in the Supreme Court.
