The engagement took place in the presence of only close friends of both the families and artists. Recently, in an India Today report, a source close to Vijay had said that the couple is planning to get married next year. Vijay Deverakonda started his acting career in 2011 with the romantic comedy ‘Nuvvila’ directed by Ravi Babu. After this he played small roles in films like ‘Life is Beautiful’ (2012) and ‘Yevade Subramaniam’ (2015).

His first film as a lead role was ‘Pelli Choopulu’ in 2016, which was a hit. After this he acted in ‘Dwarka’ and then ‘Arjun Reddy’ in 2017. Due to which he got special recognition.

In 2018, he acted in several films including ‘Mahanati’, ‘Geeta Govindam’ and ‘Taxiwala’. Geeta Govindam became his highest grossing film. He also acted in the Tamil film ‘NOTA’, but it was not successful at the box office.

After 2019, there were ups and downs in his career. ‘Dear Comrade’ (2019) and ‘World Famous Lover’ (2020) received mixed reviews.
