Fire broke out at many places in Russia after Ukraine drone attack.
Ukraine attacked many areas of Russia on Saturday night with more than 1000 drones. According to reports, at least 4 people have died in this. This also includes 1 Indian labourer.
The Indian Embassy in Russia has confirmed this. According to the embassy, three Indians are also injured. Officials visited the site of the attack and also met the injured admitted in hospital. The identities of those killed and injured have not been made public yet.
Russian officials said three people were killed in the attack in the Moscow region, while another person was killed in the Belgorod region near the Ukraine border. A total of 12 people have been injured in Moscow. These also include laborers working in oil refineries.
According to the report of Kiev Independence, Ukraine targeted important military and fuel facilities in the Moscow area. These include the Angstrem plant, which makes semiconductors for the Russian military. Apart from this, Moscow Oil Refinery, Solnechnogorsk and Volodarskoye fuel station were also targeted.
Ukraine also attacked Crimea
Ukraine claimed the attack also took place in occupied Crimea. There, the air defense system, hangar of S-400 radar system, drone control system, data transmission center and air traffic control tower at Belbek airfield were targeted.
According to Russian officials, the attack was one of the largest Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow in recent months. Air raid sirens continued to sound in the capital and surrounding areas throughout the night, several explosions were heard and debris fell at different places.

Zelenograd’s Technopark also burnt in the attack
According to a Russian Telegram channel, Zelenograd’s Elma Technopark was also burned in the attack. Companies related to microelectronics, robotics and research work here. There is also news of targeting of Raduga Design Bureau in Dubna area, where cruise missiles are made.
Drone attacks also affected Moscow’s airports. About 200 flights were delayed or canceled at Sheremetyevo Airport, while about 100 flights were affected at Vnukovo Airport. Drone fragments also fell on the airport premises, although there was no news of any major damage there.

Ukrainian President justified the attack
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has described this attack as justified by Russia’s attacks. He said that Russia is continuously targeting civilians of Ukraine, hence this action was taken.
Ukraine’s security agency SBU claimed responsibility for the attacks, saying they carried out the operation in collaboration with the army. Ukraine claimed the attack also took place in occupied Crimea. Russia shot down more than 1000 drones in 24 hours
Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that it shot down 1054 Ukrainian drones, 8 guided bombs and 2 missiles in 24 hours. The ministry also said it intercepted the Flamingo cruise missile and the Neptune-MD missile, although Ukraine has not commented on the use of these missiles.
The viral video on social media shows visuals of a glow in the sky and fire at many places. Explosions were reported in Khimki, Klin, Zelenograd and several parts of Moscow. Movement was also seen around Sheremetyevo Airport.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 12 people, mostly construction workers, were injured near the oil refinery in the Kapotanya area.
