PM Narendra Modi arrived in New York after meeting with US President Joe Biden and attending the QUAD Summit. He will address a gathering of NRIs at Nassau Veterans Collegium tonight at 9:30 pm (IST).
This event has been named Modi and US Progress Together. More than 25 thousand people have registered to attend the program. According to the organizers, all the seats of the program have been filled. There is a lot of enthusiasm about this among the NRIs. Many hours before the program started, people have gathered near the venue and are waiting for PM Modi to arrive.
Earlier, PM Modi said important things at the Quad summit in Delaware on Saturday. He said that the world is surrounded by conflicts. In such a situation, it is very important for the Quad to move together.
Before the summit, PM Modi met President Biden at his residence in Delaware on Saturday night. The two had a bilateral meeting for about 1 hour. Biden praised PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine and Poland.
Apart from this, the drone deal was also discussed between the two leaders. Biden welcomed this deal with India. India is in the process of purchasing 31 MQ-9B SKY Guardian and SEA Guardian drones from the US. The cost of these drones is around $3 billion.
