A young man was shot dead by miscreants in Khajuri Khas area of North-East Delhi. The deceased has been identified as Raja. According to the police, the attackers fired about five rounds, out of which three bullets hit Raja. The accused fled from the spot and the police are examining the CCTV footage.
A 17-year-old boy was shot in the Amar Colony area of south-east Delhi. According to the police, the boy was sitting in a restaurant when there was a dispute with some youth over touching the chair.
After some time the accused returned and a young man opened fire. The injured boy has been admitted to AIIMS Trauma Centre, where his condition is said to be critical but stable. Police are examining CCTV footage.

In Maharashtra, father threw 4 children into a well, then committed suicide

In Maharashtra’s Buldhana district, a man threw his four children into a well after a fight with his wife and later hanged himself. The incident took place in Jalgaon-Jamod area.

Charges framed against seven accused in singer Zubeen Garg’s death case

The court has framed charges against seven accused in the death of Assam’s famous singer Zubeen Garg. All the accused have declared themselves innocent.
The court said that now there will be a direct hearing of witnesses, which will start from June 8. SIT was formed to investigate the case and several serious sections including murder have been imposed on the accused.

A Delhi court acquitted three accused in a case related to the 2020 north-east Delhi riots. The court said that the testimony of the key witness was not reliable and there were many contradictions in it.
The case was related to the attack and robbery of a youth in Karawal Nagar area. The court said that the identity of the accused could not be proved conclusively, hence they were given the benefit of doubt.

A woman laborer died while 13 people were injured after a culvert under construction collapsed in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. The accident happened in Gandoh area.
The injured were immediately taken to the hospital. According to doctors, some workers have suffered serious head injuries and their treatment is ongoing.
Pregnant woman dies in Delhi, family alleges dowry harassment

A pregnant woman died after falling from the fourth floor in Mustafabad area. The woman’s family has accused her husband and in-laws of harassing her for dowry.
Family members say that the demand for gold and cash started shortly after the marriage. Police are investigating the matter and the statements of the family are being recorded.
Sawantwadi railway station in Maharashtra will be renamed as Lokmanya Madhu Dandavate Railway Terminus

Maharashtra Cabinet has approved renaming of Sawantwadi Railway Station as “Lokmanya Madhu Dandavate Railway Terminus”. Madhu Dandavate is considered to be the chief architect of the Konkan Railway. Now this proposal will be sent to the Central Government for final approval.
The cabinet also decided to extend the deadline for transfer of government employees and to give land to a temple trust in Thane. Whereas, stamp duty and registration fee on purchase of private land for Nagpur Outer Ring Road project has been waived.
Fire in bank building in Kirti Nagar, Delhi

A fire broke out in a bank building in Kirti Nagar area of West Delhi. The fire is said to have started due to short circuit in the electric meter on the ground floor.
Due to smoke, people living above reached the neighboring building through the roof. Four fire tenders brought the fire under control. No one was injured in this incident.
