Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Aman Arora on Monday pitched the state as an attractive investment destination for UAE-based investors, assuring them of seamless clearances, administrative support and improved infrastructure.

Arora made the pitch during a meeting with Abdulla Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the UAE International Investment Council (UAEIIC), on the sidelines of the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) in Dubai.

According to the Punjab Information and Public Relations Department, the meeting focused on Punjab’s economic potential and opportunities for investment in high-growth sectors through government, semi-government and private sector partnerships.

Punjab Pitches Investor-Friendly Ecosystem

Arora assured the UAEIIC of complete administrative support and logistical facilitation for global companies looking to establish or expand operations in Punjab.

He highlighted the state’s “Invest Punjab” single-window platform, which provides statutory approvals and clearances to investors.

“Punjab offers a highly conducive entrepreneurial ecosystem, excellent multimodal connectivity, skilled technical manpower, and a transparent governance framework. We invite UAE business leaders to become active partners in Punjab’s transformative economic growth story,” Arora said.

He said the state, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, was keen to build long-term partnerships with UAE-based investors and institutional funds.

Focus On Stronger Business Ties

The UAE International Investment Council, which brings together public and private entities to promote outward foreign investment from the UAE, welcomed Punjab’s outreach, the department said.

The discussions focused on building institutional linkages to support direct capital inflows and potential joint ventures between UAE investors and Punjab.

Arora said the engagement could help create deeper economic cooperation, stronger business ties and a larger pipeline of investments in the state.

The minister also stressed Punjab’s infrastructure, skilled workforce and connectivity as key advantages for investors seeking to expand their presence in India.
